Partner FAQs
Common questions for organizations interested in becoming FamilyNet partners.
Partner Onboarding & Eligibility
Who can become a FamilyNet Partner?
Currently partnerships are available only to schools and educational institutions. In the future, partners could include registered charities and community organizations that support families.
How do we start the onboarding process?
Begin by creating a basic user account on partners.familynet.ca, then complete the Partner Profile form. This activates your Partner ID and generates your Stripe Connect onboarding link.
Is there a fee to become a Partner?
No. There are no signup or participation fees for partners.
Which payouts processing platform do you use?
FamilyNet uses Stripe, a leading global payment processor trusted by millions of businesses, schools, and charities worldwide.
Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, Substack, Clubhouse, X, Shopify, Jobber, and Booking.com are examples of organizations and platforms that use Stripe services.
Revenue Sharing & Payouts
How do payouts work?
When families subscribe, Stripe automatically allocates your share of the revenue. The funds flow directly to your Stripe account on a recurring basis.
When do payouts begin?
Once you complete Stripe onboarding and families begin subscribing, payouts start based on the specified standard payout schedule.
Currently, payouts are processed once every year, in January.
Can we view earnings and participation reports?
Yes. Stripe gives you a full dashboard with payout history, upcoming transfers, totals, and basic reports.
Do we handle taxes or compliance?
Stripe manages the tax and verification requirements as part of the onboarding process.
Compliance & Verification
Why is Stripe verification required?
Stripe requires basic verification to confirm your organization’s legal status and banking details. This ensures payouts are secure and compliant.
What information does Stripe request?
Legal business or organization name, address, authorized representative details, and bank account information for payouts.
Is our information secure and does FamilyNet access banking information?
All sensitive data is handled securely by Stripe.
FamilyNet does not store your banking or verification information.
Are there ongoing compliance checks?
Stripe may occasionally request updated information, especially when laws or banking requirements change.
Partner Tools & Codes
What is a Partner ID?
A Partner ID is your unique identifier inside FamilyNet. It helps track revenue and ensures families are linked to the correct organization.
How do families use our Partner ID?
Families enter your Partner ID during sign-up. This automatically credits your organization for every active FamilyPack.
Can organization information be updated later?
Yes. You can update your Partner Profile anytime without interrupting payouts.
What happens if bank details change?
Simply log in to Stripe Express and update your payout account there.
Technical & Integration
Do we need to integrate FamilyNet with our systems?

Can we add FamilyNet to our school or organization website?
No. All partner functions are web-based and run through partners.familynet.ca.
Will our technical staff need to maintain anything?
No. FamilyNet handles all platform operations, server management, privacy, and security.
